RIPE
NCC Regional Meeting will take place in Moscow, in Marriott
Grand Hotel conference rooms on September 17-18 2009 under the auspices of
RIPE NCC (Reseaux IP Europeens), a coordinating centre in charge of
Internet address assigning in the European region.

This event will take place in the Russian capital for the sixth time
and traditionally gather the representatives of the Russian and foreign
commercial enterprises and public organizations, governmental bodies
dealing with the development of the Internet infrastructure in Europe. The
total number of the event participants is expected to exceed 150 people.
One of the key meeting subjects under discussion is the concepts of
IPv4 address resources distribution in the condition of their soon
exhaustion alongside with the problem of transition to the use of a new
protocol of IPv6 addressing. Besides, the attendees will address the
aspects of the Global Network security and sum up RIPE NCC activity since
the previous Moscow Regional Meeting. The first day of the event concluded
with a gala night devoted to the 20-th anniversary of RIPE this year.
RIPE NCC Moscow Regional Meeting is hosted by
RU-CENTER and co-sponsored
by the Russian Institute for Public Networks (RIPN).
The Meeting gained the support of the Internet
National Domain Coordinating Centre,
German Internet Exchange (DE-CIX),
Neutral Internet Exchange (NIX) and
London Internet Exchange (LINX). The Internet
access for the attendees will be provided by
MSK-IX, Moscow traffic conversion point.
Magazine "InformKurierSvyaz", a leading
Russian telecommunication publisher will provide information sponsorship.
