RIPN took part in and supported the X All-Russia Scientific and Technical Conference "Theoretical and Applied Aspects of Modern Information Technologies"

The tenth jubilee All-Russia Scientific and Technical Conference "Theoretical and Applied Aspects of Modern Information Technologies" took place in Buryatia on July 20-26, 2009. The Conference was held on the platform of East-Siberian State Technological University. RIPN is a traditional supporter and active participant in this event.

The purpose of the Conference is the exchange of experience and coordination of scientific achievements in the field of information technologies, discussion of the problems of electronic communication development in the field of education, discussion of the research process, results and ways of their obtaining, alongside with the consideration of those aspects connected with the role of information technologies in the innovative development of the educational system.

The relevancy of the problems discussed at the Conference is determined by the fact that the theoretical and applied aspects of the information technologies represent a vast field of knowledge, uniting dozens of considerable scientific problems, including artificial intelligence, software engineering, computer systems design engineering, long-distance education, educational system electronic communication development, etc.

The Conference was held as part of two sections and two round-table meetings. It was represented by the members of research institutes, institutions of higher education and other organizations from Vladivostok, Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, Omsk, Penza, Petrozavodsk, Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog, Tver, Ulan-Ude, Chita and Yakutsk.

The Conference attendees appreciated the high scientific level of most reports. Discussion of reports and exchanging personal contacts among the attendees (as the Conference cultural life was not only informative, but favorable for informal socializing) promoted strengthening ties between institutions of higher educations, Russian research institutes and organizations developing information technologies.
