RU Zone Root DNS-Server Node Placed in MSK-IX Network

Moscow Internet Exchange network placed the RU zone local root DNS-server node. The node is a part of distributed system of RU zone root DNS-servers installed in largest national and foreign communication centers and controlled by RU domain technical center, RIPN.

Installation of the local root DNS-server node of the Russian national domain in Moscow Internet Exchange network will allow to improve reliability and response time of DNS service for MSK-IX participants.

Access to RU zone root DNS-server will be granted to MSK-IX participants provided peer-to-peer interface is established with root DNS-server network, or Route Server is used, with no extra payment required.
